Full-Time Visiting Lecturers in Physics
The Department of Physics at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth
invites applications for two non-tenure track positions as Full-time
Visiting Lecturers (FTVL). Applicants must possess a master's Degree in
Physics with a strong interest and ability to teach introductory physics in
either the traditional lecture/recitation/lab mode or in an interactive
environment. In addition, preference will be given to candidates with
advanced degrees beyond the Masters' level in Physics or related fields,
experience in teaching undergraduate physics courses, teaching and/or
redesigning upper-level physics laboratory courses.
FTVL appointments will be for the 2000-2001 academic year and carry a full
teaching load of at least 12 teaching units, equivalent to 12 classroom
contact hours per week.
