EASI's Online Workshop on designing web pages to provide access for users
with Disabilities will begin June 1. It has been postponed from May 24 to
June 1.

The workshop can be done from anywhere and at any time. It is largely
self-paced using the web, but it also uses a listserv to facilitate
interaction with instructors and among participants. The World Wide Web
Consortium's Web Access Iniative has just released its guidelines for
access design. This workshop will integrate these guidelines into its
presentation.

The workshop does not demand a high skill in HTML. Even those not
designing web pages but who want to understand the access problems and
solutions for users with disabilities will benefit from this. At the same
time, skilled web designers who do not understand the access problems of
users with disabilities will benefit. The Department of Justice appears to
be moving towards requiring web pages to be accessible, and a workshop like
this is important.

There is lots of time to register as we will register you and accept
payment later. For registration and other details, see:
