Help!!! Baseball season is upon us and my husband wants to purchase a
cryogenics bat. Yes, they do cost a lot of money - - and that is OK if it
is worth it!!! According to the ads, cryogenic bats are (1) more durable
and resist to denting, (2) produce a greater distance, (3) have a greater
trampoline effect, and (4) there is less bat vibration for a better feel.
" The change in residual stress brought about by the cryogenic treatment
results in an enhanced trampoline effect which occurs in the bat "Sweet
Spot" during impact with the ball!" The ads further states that after
cryogenic treatment residual stress is outward, adding force on the ball.
