Re: BNC?

I believe that it is bayonet, N-compact. N connectors are large,
screw-type, 50-ohm connectors used when keeping the impedance
constant is important. BNC is smaller, fastens with a bayonet
instead of a screw, and is more compact than type N, although the
physical configuration of the center pin and outer shield is very
similar to the type N

Greetings-

Does anyone know what BNC stands for?

Thanks for any info.
