The AAPT Apparatus Competition will be held again during the annual
summer meeting August 2-7 1999, at Trinity University in San
Antonio, Texas. There will be a Low Cost category (apparatus cost <
$50) and also a category for Advanced Laboratory or Lecture
Demonstration Apparatus.
Awards of $1000, $600 and $200 are available for Advanced Lab /
Lecture Demonstration Apparatus, while awards of $100 are available
for Low Cost Apparatus. More than one award can be made in each
category, and a participant does not have to be present to enter or
win.
Some concern has been expressed about this annual apparatus
competition, so this would be an especially good time to enter.
