How do you know that the rims of the can are essential. Perhaps somebody
can demonstrate this by using an inner container without rims. I did not
think that rims are significant. The bolt was put into the can to lower
the level of water in it with respect to the outer level. And also to
let the can float in a slightly tilted position to make no big bubble is
trapped below. No more time to play with this today.
