No magic insights - I was pondering the light beam reflected from a
mirror face magnet, and recalled - besides the magnetic effect,
the principal effect of a close encounter with a close packed array of
charge carriers is to distinctly deflect the beam - a process
called reflection.
I know - the preferred paradigm has it described a little differently.
