I just went to look at the McAfee web site, and as far as I can tell there
was no free-ware available. Is that correct? Or is there freeware burried
in there somewhere, just hard to find because they'd rather get your money.


I don't know anything about McAfee, but I like F-Prot. It is free to
individual users (commercial users register for about $1 per computer).
My dad uses McAfee and from his comments it is at any rate no better
than F-Prot. You can ftp F-Prot from a number of sites. The latest
version is fp-228.zip but there should be an update available soon.
