discussing science books for children

I recently encountered an interesting little discussion group on WWW.
This is the "science books forum" at science author Fred Bortz' site:

http://www.cherryvalleybooks.com/DrFred/

I think that this is a fairly new forum, so if you feel the need to
comment, please do (rather than just lurking.) Lots of traffic there
would attract more traffic, and make the forum a worthwhile new addition
to the net.

In particular, "Dr. Fred" asks for suggestions regarding what we all would
like to see in a science book for children. I suspect that other authors
besides Dr. Fred will be using this site, so jump in and make your desires
known! (Of course I've already started ranting there about the
"electricity" explanations in K-6 science books!) ;)
