It is said that the Bomb Memorial Dome is the remains of the only
building in Hiroshima to substantially survive the first nuclear
attack on Aug 5th, 1945, when two thirds of the city area was
destroyed.

That's funny. I understood that the building at ground zero
is kept standing unrepaired as a monument. Is that not true?
