I think that it is unfair to characterize Einstein as a
"womanizer". As far as I know there is no evidence to support such a
contention. It is true that his first marriage, to Mileva, was not a
happy one, and ended in separation and divorce. Likewise, his second
marriage, to his cousin Elsa, was not a particularly happy one but they
remained married until her death in 1936.

Although neither of his marriages was particularly successful, I
think his behavior towards both Mileva and Elsa was decent enough. For
example, in his divorce agreement from Mileva he agreed readily that she
would receive all the proceeds from his Nobel Prize. From what I can
gather his difficulty in his relationships arose primarily from the fact
that he was totally absorbed in his work, rather than from an interest in
other women.

In this respect, he was no Dick Feynman....
