Physics/Literature collaboration...

Greetings everyone. Last thursday and friday the teachers at my
school started their inservices (we don't start school until the day
after Labor day :-D). Some of the Literature teachers are interested in
doing some activities that span across the curriculum. One idea that
came to mind is that when they start going over some midevil literature
is study some of their technology in my physics classes.
Has anyone done a collaboration between a physics class and
literature class? What were some of the ideas/concepts that were
covered? Any helpful suggestions or advice?
One thing I remembered seeing on the news a few years ago was
that some teacher had a catapult competition for his students. The
students built their own catapults and trebuckets and saw who could
launch a snowball the furthest. I'm not sure who the teacher was or
where he taught at, but I thought that may be one possibility. Does
anyone have some advice as to the making of a catapult or trebucket or
who I could ahold of for some information?

Thanks,
