I've read the Goldstein & Goldstein book, and found parts of it quite
informative even though much of it was already familiar and therefore
less interesting. I would recommend it to physics students, but not
to nontechnical readers. (Oops, I should repeat the title: The
Refrigerator and the Universe.)
