Virus hoaxes

As Brad Shue has pointed out, there ain't no such animal as an e-mail virus. I
recommend that when you get a warning message about one of these nonexistent
beasts, you first read about it on the Web at

http://kumite.com/myths/

This site has links to commercial developers of antiviral software, who will
give you the straight dope about these virus hoaxes. I also recommend that you
forward this information up the line to the person who forwarded the "alert"
message to you!

I'm not sure which is worse --- actual viruses, or the paranoia that people have
about them.
