And I thought the tornados in Kansas were to do with rainbows and
Judy Garland?
We have only a few, and they are rarely called tornados - smaller
scale ones (which is what we mostly get) are called"in the bush" by their
aboriginal name of willy-willies. Northern Australia specialises
more in cyclones ...

p.s. sounds like a research grant application brewing here - testing
out the environmental effects of driving chirality in exotic
locations. (Could be a bit dangerous though. We have sadly already
lost Eugene Shoemaker to our roads.)

Some wag proposed that there were more tornados in Kansas than
in England because of the chirality of the cars driving in those
places. Right-hand driving reinforces counter-clockwise rotation
of air along centerlines in Kansas.

Does Australia have tornados?
