At least you control such information. If privacy is of concern, you
should be more worried about cookies.

Galileo has this "covered": when I tried to use the site, all links
failed, and dumped me back to the top page without explanation. Turns out
that the site REQUIRES that your browser's cookies feature be active,
otherwise no tour, no registration, nothing. I hate required passwords,
and also reject cookies. Lynx broswer is great, it lets you selectively
allow cookies, also warns you about form redirection shenannigans which
normally occur invisibly, etc.
