The North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics (NCSSM) offers unique
career opportunities in instruction and curriculum development. NCSSM is a
statewide, public high school for 11th and 12th grade students with high
ability and interest in science and mathematics. There will be a full-time
position available in Physics. The appointment will be for one year with the
possibility of reappointment for additional years, contingent upon funding.
The position begins in mid-August.
General requirements:
* doctorate or master's degree in subject field;
* teaching experience preferably with advanced secondary students;
* experience in the use of laboratory and technology for instruction;
* high energy and enthusiasm for teaching; and willingness to participate
in the residential school programs including social, recreational, and
advisory responsibilities at times other than usual school hours.
