Question: why do tires get hot?
Answer: because tires are not "perfectly" flexible, ant it takes
some work to produce their deformation adapting to the pavement.
This dissipates mechanical energy, hence you have to push the tire
to continue rolling.


Exactly. That "push" overcomes "rolling friction">
