RE: Physics law confusion in ad copy

Hi All!

George

One of the local physics teachers (Mid-Michigan) has a video tape of TV
commericals that "abuse", "misconstrue", or violate the laws of science to
promote their product.

I will ask him about sharing of the tape. He is on spring break, hopefully
some where warm (they predict snow tonight!).

If folks are interested, I will compile a list of names, BUT please for all
our sakes SEND ME A MESSAGE ------

DON'T USE REPLY

Thanks all,
bye for now,
sheron

In this week's edition of PCWeek (Apr.1, pg76), Novell leads off an ad
touting their network management tools with the following gem:

Newton's Second Law: Systems tend toward increasing disorder.

Has anyone comprised a list of similar abuses and confusions of physics
concepts that have appeared in the name of marketing?
