Comet Hyakutake? YES!!!!

Public viewing at the Keeble Observatory (Ashland, VA - on the campus of
Randolph-Macon College) drew 300+ last night. Even with 2 telescopes and
lots of binoculars, the wait for some folks was on the order of 2 hours.
Even dealing with moderate light pollution (street lights, passing
cars, #$#%! sorority house with floodlights) the comet was clearly visible
to the naked eye.

Well worth the wait! Bright nucleus with sharp, clear jet in 1/2 degree
field of view. Tail extending 25+ degrees once eyes were dark-adapted.
