I like Lview (assuming you're looking for a Windows program), which 
also will do JPEGs and other formats. It is shareware and is 
available from all the standard ftp sites such as wuarchive.wustl.edu 
or ftp.digital.com (I usually ahve better luck connecting to the 
second one). If you register Lview, it will also convert to the new 
progressive scan format JPEG and do transparent backgrounds (both 
useful for www programmers).
