Not all cords are electrical cords.
spinal cord.
umbilical cord.
rope,twine = cordage.

The basic ziplevel "cord" is AFAICT just a tube.
The patent holds out the possibility of a twin tube
but I don't think they implemented that in any models
I'm aware of.

A twin tube would be a particularly good use of the
word "cord" insofar as it is correct without being
overly specific.

If you really don't like "cord" you could call it a
tether.
