bc hired two Somalis and a Pole as assistants at UCSC. Remembers one Chinese TA for the advanced lab.  She returned home tho.

An interesting BTW:  The Pole visited his family and returned w/ a jar of Jam.  The xtal scintillator w/ MCA revealed much Cs-137.  He threw the jam away.  I wish I’d saved it for High School demo.  I’ve previously posted about the Swedish mushrooms that absorbed Cs from the soil.  I still have them.
