Re: [Phys-L] two gravitational wave questions

VIRGO full form is "Variability of solar IRradiance and Gravity Oscillations".   (Apparently)

in his web site  <https://cplberry.com/tag/lvt151012/> LVT is given as the lower probability prefix for a GW (#) Gravity Wave observation, meaning        Ligo-Virgo Trigger (#)

1. If VIRGO is an acronym, what does it stand for?

2. in LVT151012, what does LVT stand for?

Thanks,
