That sort of "coincidence" seems to be built into the physics of reality - it is inherent in the nature of "change" itself:

1) If you compare the ALL the changes occurring on a fast moving space ship to the "same" type changes on a "stationary" ship, you will measure a relative slow down (SR).

2) If you compare ALL the changes occurring on a ship in a strong gravitational field to the "same" type changes on a ship in gravity free space, you will measure a relative slow down (GR).

believe in that sort of coincidences.
