Black Hills State University is proud to announce a new Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program in Underground Science! BHSU is the closest university to the Sanford Underground Research Facility (SURF) which is doing research on neutrinos, dark matter, and topics in biology and chemistry. This 10 week program will begin on May 30. Students will receive $500 per week to participate, plus lodging and travel support to the Black Hills.
We are accepting applications from undergraduate students in physics, biology, and chemistry. This program will be a good introduction to the cutting edge science going on at SURF, and also will offer guidance to the other steps of becoming a working scientist. More information is on the website: http://www.bhsu.edu/research/reu
Please notify any students who might be interested, and note that the application deadline of April 6 is already looming!
