On p. 535 (bottom) of AJP 78, #5 May 2010 is a pic. of an Electric Wind demonstration app.
The needle is electrified positively which then “blows” the flame of the grounded candle.
“… shows that the candle flame is rich in positive ions.”
I think the flame is neural and the effect involves differences in mass, and perhaps mean free path, and more?
bc, suspicious.
The positive ions are luminous while the negative are non-luminous?
