Thanks for submitting this. I did find it interesting and in good agreement
with my own experiences especially in learning math and physics. In
addition to homework, the spiral approach used in college and graduate
school for these subjects provides the practice of previous skills that the
author discusses as mandatory for retention and mastery of a knowledge area.
