  We could start by leveling the playing field and letting good
ole' invisible hand do its job.

That should also apply to nuclear, which is knobbled out of the
competition by costly over-regulation, suiting renewable and
fossil-fuelled energy providers nicely. Hypothetically RE looks like a
free ride, but  24/7 renewables (i.e battery backup) are neither
reliable nor economically viable. The scale need for simple baseload
requirements is preposterously, humungously costly.
