A thought about the idea that the mass increases hit me. Does the Finnish
book claim that the mass of the object increases? If so this is not a good
analysis. Because of the symmetry the mass of both the Earth and the object
would be said to increase, with most of the increase in the Earth. It it
says the Earth-object system increases, then that would be a fairly good
analysis because it brings in the important idea of a system.
