Re: [Phys-L] aerodynamics or style?

Hi,

In some ancient memory, I recall that some rule of thumb
that if you can not "close" the air at the trailing edge of
whatever object one is designing, one should just truncate
the object so it is out of the dirty air. Such a car is
said to have a Kammback style. (Thanks Wikipedia)

I read the newest Priuses have a sl. lower drag

the previous is a sharp instead of curved edge on the

improvement. Recently returning from America’s last
hometown, I noticed a new Nissan Leaf (also hybrid) with
similar quarter panels.

Well?

bc notes often ‘bile companies copy each others’ styles,
similar to clothing!
