Our seniors do independent projects the last 5 weeks of their final year
(e.g., producing a CD, internship at law office, building something, etc.)
A student interested in astronomy asked me for some ideas. I said I was
not sure what she could do at the high school level. Can't just do
"research" online about a topic, write a paper, etc.
I mentioned the SETI project and hooking your computer in to check for
signals while on sleep mode. Not sure this project would be "approved."
Also not sure what the student could present at the end.
Does anyone know of "astronomy projects" a senior student could
investigate at the high school level?
