Re: [Phys-L] BP or CE?

Thanks. Well, I'm sure there are (free) instructions/videos
online of paper boomerangs to make. I thought someone may
have tried them in the past and knew of some good sources.

Instruction (drawing.) in the (bc) referenced book.

bc IHRC, it’s a three wing affair, and (this he remembers) Len also
couldn’t until taught by an expert (throws many times around the South
Pole (A pole stuck in the S. axis (Antarctica).

Wrong it’s Sean Slade who taught Len to throw, but Dr. Bob Reid holds
the word’s record for aloft boomerang. Threw in the correct direction
to add 24 hours to the actual time aloft (pic. in book).

"Anecdotally, they're able to ride the thermals of low-lying cloud for up
to 19 minutes - although that's not a patch on the retired University of
Leeds physics lecturer Bob Reid's record "claim" of 24 hours and nine
seconds, achieved by throwing round the South Pole, to cross all time
zones.”
