Not (i.e. no leakage down the barrel), but: My first thought was no freebore. Then a quick search indicates some freebore (in the Ak-47) before the bullet engages the rifiling So, yes, there is leakage (before the bullette "engages" the rifling, i.e. in the bore). (Sometimes long intended to prevent breeching.)

bc surprised (to read) that some guns firing balls are also rifled.
