A week ago David Bowman made a rare but welcome appearance on the list to answer in his usual thorough way a question about the ratios of volumes and areas of hyper-spheres to those of their bounding hypercubes. I don't think it has been properly acknowledged so I'll do so now while simply saying that I, for one, miss the good old days on phys-L when threads were more often of the type that would attract David's interest.
