Without knowing all the ins and outs of the situation, I can still draw the moral: the school administration shouldn't just hand the iPads to the students. Technology without support is often no help at all.

anyone "done" a study on the efficiency? i.e. the time spent on support (training the students and the IT people) is made up by the "learning" improvement w/ the computers?

bc for a long time thought computers were a step backwards on writing. He had a very small sloped learning curve.
