Short answer: Yes

Somewhat more precise answer: No, not unless you change your reference frame to one--ANY one--that is accelerating with respect to your old one in which case it doesn't matter if you "accelerate the support" or not. The local "g-field" depends *only* on your reference frame, NOT what the pendulum support is doing.
