Re: [Phys-l] Recommend a book on Newton?

Richard Westfall's "Never at Rest" is I believe the definitive biography of Newton. He also wrote a condensed version: The Life of Isaac Newton

Best wishes

Greetings,

A student in my College Physics course wants a recommendation for a book
about Newton. I haven't read any biographies of Newton so I don't have
anything to go on besides reviews on the web.

Anyone have a favorite that they would recommend?

Thanks!
