K-State Department of Physics seeks a visiting faculty for the 2012-13 academic year. This position is an annual, term appointment with the probability of extension to a second year. Primary responsibility will be to teach in our introductory physics program but the individual will also be encouraged to pursue research with one of our existing research programs. Several of the introductory courses involve innovative teaching methods in which the successful candidate may be involved. The teaching assignment will be approximately equivalent to two and half courses per semester.

The successful candidate must have completed a Ph.D. in physics or a closely related field and must provide evidence of high quality classroom instruction. Successful candidate must also demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring of students and to serving a diverse population.
