They say they survive nuclear war as well. (So it's not just that on the ant scale they are in a radio-wave oven.)

p.s. I'm watching # 112 and the Head is asking Pete (the father, history teacher) to reformulate the school's prospectus, i.e. do a stats fiddle, just like in the news (Claremont McKenna). This makes him a "team player".
