Re: [Phys-l] learning, judgment, self-assessment, etc.

Stefan,
I would like to hear your reflections also. I did my first semester this spring of a SCALE-UP style class, complete with the round tables, etc, after 25 years of traditional teaching, but my group was small (6) and 4 of them were extremely bright, so I suspect my experience is non-typical. A colleague will have about 30 this fall. It sounds like you came away with a favorable impression.

I for one would be very interested you your giving a shot at describing
much of what you have alluded to in your two recent posts.

I imagine I am not alone in saying this and the summer is a good time
for such posts as I suspect that they would be more time consuming than
the typical paragraph post.

Please share.

I had been debating whether to share my experience here. After all, I
don't consider myself much of a teacher, despite being hired as one.
But, I took it more seriously than any employment in the last 2
decades, so I'll give it a shot.
