Re: [Phys-l] COLD FUSION a new extraordinary claim

The NiMH battery has been on sale for about 20 yrs. Available at many retails in CCC and CC sizes, it is the storage agency for the Prius, Lexus, Civic, Insight, Fusion,
GM EVI ,Honda EVPlus etc.
The usual electrolyte is potassium hydroxide. The counter electrode may be a mix of nickel, cobalt, or manganese with cerium lanthanum and other rare earths.

Cold fusion cells that are capable of storing energy can be deceptive for experimenters. Cells capable of catalyzing hydrogen combustion are naturally capable of converting more energy than the already exceptional energy storage of the NiMH, or the NiCd, Li-ion cells.

another variation of a nickel + hydrogen battery perhaps aided by the secret catalyst. This type of battery is ... available commercially in the US. /snip/
