Lotsa inland power stations -- they use cooling towers -- the reason is CAPITALISM. i.e. any way to save money to make more profit. /snip/

Ah yes: capitalism aka free enterprise - the finest system yet developed to productively generate and distribute goods and services, on a local, national and world-wide basis.
It is open to the same criticism as democracy: - the worst system of government available - better only than all other possibilities.
