Re: [Phys-l] Global Evolution as fact

Hmmm...I see my word choice was a little too fanciful.
Let me quote from COD:

Deny - repudiate
scatological - of obscene literature (among other definition)

There was a time when views of women's stockings - and stocking tops -
were classified this way - but times have changed.

While nit-picking poor nomenclature . . . "scatological"? Really? In contrast to
that usage, I wouldn't term "denier" anything like so repudiatory.

While nit-picking typos, I am moved to mention my (minority-held)
preference for "denyer" rather than "denier" on the basis that long ago,
and far away, young women prized sheer stockings, which were rated by a
thread gauge whose unit is "denier" pronounced" deen-yer". The variant
spelling sets off the repudiatory, from the scatological.
