I substantially agree. What are your favorite demos of this, suitable
for a classroom?

In addition to the other suggestions: Keep in mind that
this point is intimately connected to Galileo's principle
of relativity, so that all the usual relativity demos
can be used ... e.g. juggling where the juggler is in
uniform motion relative to the observer. There are
innumerable variations on this, some involving air
tracks.
