Re: [Phys-l] phase relationship

Good; easily checked by those probes -- both at the mouth of a horn (got ton's of these) and a dipole. will make. I have an N connector to waveguide.

bc must first prepare for demo of coupled pendulum and spring oscillator at the NCNAAPT meeting next month.

Very far away from the source (such as antenna) they are in phase, but
nearby the source, they are not.

Now I'm puzzled -- I for some time, erroneously?, thought E and M were in phase in "free" space**.

A dipole detects E while a loop detects M (B?)

X band freq. is convenient.
