Spencer adheres to ID, but there is no indication he is a young Earth
creationist.  Evangelicals are not necessarily young Earth fundamentalists.
ID is a bit more subtle in that it presumes divine intervention in the
making of species, but leaves the time frame alone.  The theory is that
chance is too improbable to operate in species creation.
