[Phys-l] Halliday-Resnick-Walker ch.33 pr.55

Hello everybody,
I am struggling with the last (in the 3rd ED) problem of HRW about self inductance. In a circuit of a single loop with EMF, one inductor e one resistor, already stationary, a switch is opened and a new branch is inserted with one more L and one more R (again, you have only one loop). The problem ask to find the *first* common value of the current in both inductors. I am not able to find a strategy of solution.
Can someone give some advice? Thank you anyway,
Paolo
