Re: [Phys-l] Google Docs use in class?

Michael,

I've been playing around with the forms etc and find them very useful. Can
you explain how you made the parent sign-up sheet that only allowed them to
only sign up for open slots? Sounds awesome.

Thanks
Matt

Do any of you use GoogleDocs in with your students. If so How do you

I've used the "Forms" feature to collect student information:

I used a form to collect student's names, e-mail addresses and
preferred passwords so I could enrol them in bulk on my Wikispaces site.

I used a form to schedule parent-teacher interviews -- I was sick and
couldn't be in school to make arrangements with my students. I had a
page on my website showing appointment times that I updated whenever
someone signed up, and I edited the form to only allow interview time
slots that were still available.

I also used a form to collect names of students, their partners, and
their choice of project for a Science Fair-like activity.

I haven't used any of the collaborative features yet, other than
providing access to other teachers that also had students enrolled in
the Science Fair.
