Re: [Phys-l] Textbook review repository?

The textbook league does reviews of books. There was a review a number of
years ago in TPT, but it is outdated. John Hubisz did a review of middle
school and early HS books, but by now it is probably outdated.

My standard recommendation is Minds on Physics as it is one of the best
designed books from the point of view of PER, and has some evidence that
students acquire expert like ability to solve problems.

Hello,

In the age of Internet 2.0 I was wondering if anyone knows of places where
reviews of physics textbooks (done by physics teachers) are collected?

As our department selects a new book for our trig.-based physics course I
was thinking that having access to my nation-wide colleagues' thoughts on
the matter would be a great resource.

Cheers,

Jeff

Minds are like parachutes. Just because you've lost yours doesn't mean you
can borrow mine.
